- Abstract:
- Abstract: Electrocardiography is a noninvasive monitoring method for effectively monitoring cardiovascular diseases. Herein a set of low-cost and portable electrocardiogram (ECG) signal acquisition system of wireless transmission is designed to overcome the shortcomings of the existing monitoring system. Real-time ECG signals are collected on open source hardware microprocessors, and Pan & Tompkins detection algorithm is used to conduct real-time analysis of ECG signals. The obtained results are sent to the host computer via wireless transmission. The experimental tests show that the proposed system can effectively monitor the heart rate of subjects over a long period of time, with the advantages of easy operation and lower cost. The proposed system not only has application values in hospital and home monitoring, but also lays a foundation for further research.
