摘要:
质子治疗有显著的剂量学优势,布拉格峰的迅速跌落可保证肿瘤在接受相同照射剂量的同时,大大减少肿瘤周围正常组织受照射剂量,降低放疗并发症。但是质子剂量学优势能否充分转化为临床患者的获益仍然存在一定的争议。本文综述了质子治疗的历史、基础原理及其技术发展历程,并分析了质子治疗的优势和面临的挑战。
Abstract:
Abstract: Proton therapy has significant dosimetric advantages. The rapid drop-off of Bragg peak ensures that the radiation dose for normal tissues around tumor can be significantly decreased while tumor receives the same radiation dose, which can reduce the complications of radiotherapy. However, it is still controversial whether the advantage of proton dosimetry can be fully translated into the benefits of patients. Herein the history, basic principles and technological development of proton therapy are summarized, and its advantages and challenges are discussed.
