Abstract:
Abstract: Variations in posture and body contour constitute common error sources during radiotherapy positioning and setup. However, there are various types of radiotherapy positioning and setup devices operating on different principles, making it difficult to accurately assess the positioning and setup precision. Therefore, it is of great significance for clinical treatment to compare combined positioning and setup methods, validate their accuracy using the corresponding quality control platforms, and trace the root causes of possible errors. By leveraging the capability of an optical positioning system to acquire positioning deviations in real time, a quality control method for posture and body contour in radiotherapy positioning and setup is proposed. Through the analysis of optical positioning system data collected during the clinical positioning and setup, and combined with CT and CBCT images, the proposed method can quickly assess positioning and setup precision, detect postural and contour variations, and identify and analyze the underlying causes of errors. The method exhibits strong analytical performance across various clinical cases and can accurately detect positioning and setup abnormalities, thereby improving radiotherapy quality.
