Abstract:
Abstract: Objective To discuss a fast and convenient shielding estimation method for CT shelter, making the radiation protection conform to the national standards for peripheral dose equivalent rate. Methods Without regard to work load, the management objective values of peripheral dose equivalent rate and the CT dose distribution curves were used to calculate the shielding transmission factor B, thereby quickly estimating the design value of the shield in every direction. Based on the test results of radiation protection in practice and the protection condition of X-ray room, the protective effect was analyzed. Results The method for the rapid shielding estimation for CT shelters with different management objective values and different layouts was optimized, and the optimized method made CT shelter meet the requirements for radiation protection in "Radiation Diagnostic Radiological Protection Requirements" (GBZ 130-2020) under the guarantee of construction quality. Conclusion The optimized shielding estimation method for CT shelter can realize the rapid design of the shield in every direction, without regard to CT work load.
