Abstract:
Abstract: With the promotion and application of TOMO technique in China and the release of relevant quality control guidelines, there is still no relatively perfect interpretation on quality control guidelines and operation specifications, which limits the homogenization and promotion of TOMO quality control technologies, and there is lack of optimized quality control scheme suitable for domestic clinical needs. Herein 3 TOMO quality control guidelines, namely AAPM TG148 Report, Specification for Testing of Quality Control in Helical Tomotherapy Unit (WS531-2017), and Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Helical Tomotherapy Systems (NCC/T-RT003-2019), were analyzed and compared horizontally. The literatures published in recent 5 years about the applications of mainstream quality control equipments for conventional linear accelerator and novel quality control equipments in TOMO quality control were collected and analyzed, thereby proposing a set of quality control scheme which is more operational and more efficient. A perfect quality control and testing operation standard is beneficial for relevant practitioners learning and mastering TOMO quality control technologies, and a reasonable quality control item setting is more conducive to the implementation of quality control, and the application of three-dimensional and novel quality control equipments lowers quality control costs and greatly improves quality control efficiency.
