Abstract:
Abstract: Terminal differentiation is the default pathway for chondrocytes to differentiate, which include hypertrophy and apoptosis. Whether it is cartilage growth plate formation under bone physiological conditions and endogenous cartilage osteogenesis, or cartilage phenotypic changes in the pathological condition of osteoarthritis, there is a related differentiation process. Histone deacetylases are important for the growth, maintenance and proliferation of chondrocytes. They mediate the development of certain diseases by regulating gene expression and activating related transcription factors. However, their specific molecular biology and biomechanical mechanisms are still unclear. In this paper, the participation mechanism of histone deacetylases in the terminal differentiation of cartilage tissue and the application value of cartilage tissue engineering will be summarized and discussed from the perspective of biophysics.
