- Abstract: Avirtual simulation scene for visual prosthesis is built by Unity for studying the motion perception of the wearer to target object, and the effects of motion direction, motion speed, motion mode, target object shape, environmental contrast level, and gender differences in various situations on the motion perception in simulated prosthetic vision are explored through the estimation of the time to collision. The experimental results showed that subjects estimation in the horizontal direction is more accurate than the estimation in the vertical direction, and that the estimation accuracy for fast motion is better than the accuracy for relatively slow motion.There is no significant difference in the effect of motion mode on the estimation. In the same shape, the larger the object is, the higher the accuracy of the subjects estimation is, and the subjects are more sensitive to the motion of polygonal graphics than round graphics. The estimations at different environmental contrast levels are significantly different. Gender has no significant effect on the estimation, but the results in various situations are different.
