- Abstract:
- A set of laboratory report (lab report) modules are designed, and based on that, an analyzing system for automatically
assess lab reports is developed to improve the accuracy and consistency in the assessment of college physics lab reports and solve
the problems of heavy workload and difficulties to verify the correctness of data processing in traditional grading method. The
analyzing programs were written based on Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications. The proposed system can automatically read
the lab reports in Excel format, and analyze the format and correctness of the data from lab reports. Furthermore, the system can
be used to feedback the issues discovered in the batch-assessment of lab reports and summarize them in a report.
